The worst agent have dealt with in my years of renting. They appear to be one of the market leaders in the area, look very slick, present their properties well online but that's where the positives end. Parkheath are concerned about 1 thing - getting paid. We have received constant rent reminders, sometimes saying we are late BEFORE the due date of the rent.
They are consistent on collecting the rent but are completely inconsistent when responding to maintenance requests. When we first moved in, the boiler was faulty. This took 8weeks+ to sort out. A new shower took 6 weeks. A damaged front door lock took weeks. Our reports of damp have pretty much been ignored despite a contractor and an agent saying we were not at fault for causing the damp.
The bathroom floor was simply painted over before we moved in and now the paint is coming off. Reported one month ago - still no action.
A window lock is damaged. Reported one month ago - completely ignored.
Their staff come across as completely incompetent and basically couldn't care less as long as you are paying the rent.
Avoid rented properties which are managed by Parkheath rather than directly by the landlord.

Was supposed to be moving into a property managed by Parkheath when we learned their own contractor's inventory had flagged up evidence of damp throughout, which Parkheath hadn't mentioned to us, and didn't respond to our urgent calls about on the day we were due to move in. Having then read Laura's review on here, and with one of us having asthma, we decided we couldn't risk moving into a property with unresolved damp issues managed by the same agency. I would like to thank Laura for bothering to post her review on here, as it has certainly helped us and perhaps saved us repeating her experiences. I would also highly recommend Shelter's advice service for its enormously helpful advice on tenants' legal rights, which I don't doubt helped us recover our deposit.
